spider veins
all your flaws are evidence of irony
mother nature has a sense of humor
but also, a quick temper
she sends flowers as apology on a regular basis
you have to cut your own path in the forest of existence,
with a quick-sharp, heart-forged machete
courage is your metronome and
labyrinth is another word for learn
live lost and laugh at life’s thunder
the sky remembers every flash of lightning
earth is just a pattern of old scars
hiding shy beneath a veil of tattered stars

i love my 100+-yr-old trees for their elephant-like scars to remind me of irony…and time. beautiful…as always.

Flowers as apologies and heart shaped machetes . . . only here could you find those. My favorite line was “live lost and laugh at life’s thunder” because that’s exactly how I felt this morning.

really cool piece…labyrinth as learning…and earth as the scars are just two of the touches that pop…i like how it goes from mother nature as well to more personal too…

I am so very new to the blog world, but have been admiring them through “Artful Blogging” magazine for a while now. Your blog is the first that has inspired me to leave a comment. The writing is so mesmerizing, and the photos equally so. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space.
