i used to go to a retreat whose leaders asked you to write a letter that they sent 6 months later. it was always a surprise to receive it. nice suggestion.
although i am not a fan of tea, i am a devoted letter writer despite not sending them to myself!

You can always cut to the quick with just a few words. It is a skill I will never master, but one you seem to have been born with. Good luck in the new year.

my word last december for the coming year was direction. i failed miserably. i am searching in myself for a new word for 2012. i still think…direction. NEW direction. i will have to contemplate my word for a few more days.
i recently read a journal i kept in 1984 thru 1990 and was mildly appalled at my words then. who was she? who am i? it will be in my words.

You are succinct. That first sip’s always quite lovely, isn’t it?

How do you do that? With so few words, you make me gasp.
I will remember this simple phrase.
