autumn’s light
{august break no. 27}
is different than
summer’s sun,
spring’s sparkle,
winter’s wonder.
autumn’s light
is filled with
longer longing,
deeper gold,
shadows that are less
shadow
and more
purple.

Beautiful photograph and it matches your words so well. I’m not an “autumn” fan but over the years I have come to love the season for exactly the reasons you’ve shared.

It’s funny that as I was travelling back from a hospital visit yesterday, I too was reflecting on autumns light. :0)

the color of light changes … and so do our moods with it .. fall can be very melancoly .. but right now I want to cling a bit longer to summer .. lovely photo

I’m always amazed how I can sense/feel the difference in the angle of the light and sun. I will so miss summer.

gorgeous picture – i think autumn is one, maybe the only season, that we have here – those lovely long golden evenings where the temperaturs just start to drop and you can feel the chill coming down off the mountain.
