light as a feather
she said
paint me a cloud
and he
made her his wife
::
he said
make me a life
and she
broke into song
::
she said
feed me some hope
and he
built her a nest
::
he said
watch for the crow
and she
buried her heart
::
she said
teach me to fly
and he
brought her the sun
::
he said
stay by my side
and she
looked to the sky

July 7th, 2011 at 9:01 am
wow…I have not been here before. I am not familiar with your poetry. I am so glad I am here now, I absolutely love this poem, your style…and plan to visit more often.
There is just something about the line:
he said
watch for the crow
and she
buried her heart
This is one of those poems…that when read I immediately think…wish I wrote that…not in an envious manner, but in a manner that represents the resonance I feel inside when i read these words.! Fantastic one shot!
