scarcity
there is never enough
there is always too much
time mocks me from the corner
as i pace the perimeter
of this room
this life
that keeps me laughing
crazy silly insane girl
laughter
sometimes
yes
but always
laughing.
::
it’s the echo
that drives
me.

i read this and find myself wondering how big is the room you pace, how loud the echo. that’s how good this is. i don’t care about the mechanics of how you got me there, pacing & laughing with you. you just have the magic.

as long as it’s laughing….even if it’s due to life is driving me crazy and all i can do is laugh, it’s better than the alternative 🙂
thinking of you healing…..xoxo

Whether laughing at me or with me, it’s all good to me, can’t have too much, mostly. Nicely stated

You always manage to do so much with so few words. That last stanza grabbed me.

First reaction… drives you? Where?
You hook me immediately and force me to ask, make me care. I want to know more. Well written, then, isn’t it?

This kind of scarcity is palpable. And the echo, I could almost hear. Great one shot!

I wish I could write one of these tiny clever pieces that are like a story capsule held within a fragment. Amazing!

Enjoyed this piece, the sense of the room was really quite powerful metaphorically. Great write ~ Rose

‘Time mocks me from the corner’ wonderful – this poem could so easily have moved into sentiments of depression, but you took it to laughter, which was a great turn, laughter of joy or of a mania, I don’t mind, it was great.

Kate Young would like to say exactly what Elizabeth Young said. Although we’re not related, we’re thinking the same thought ~
