color of life
life hidden
inside
waiting
watching
for warmth
to burst into
leaf
in summer
this color
goes
unnoticed

there is one around the corner. i watch it all year, but you are right – in the summer, it is background. if it is hope, i bow to its reality. on 2nd thought, i think you are right. no if about it. it IS hope. you have been right all along.
