ordinary joy.
{reverb10 – day 27}
::
Our most profound joy is often experienced during ordinary moments.
What was one of your most joyful ordinary moments this year?
I feel like I have already answered this, twice. So instead…
::
this morning
i opened my back door
and breathed in
the scent
of winter.
::
i stood for a moment
cold
and did not wish
to be anywhere
but here.

well, me, i wish you were here with me. we’d sit and sip wine or spiced cider or hot chocolate. we’d put our feet up and when we’d eventually soaked in nature’s beauty framed by the window, we’d talk our drinks cold.

I love moments like that; when I’m so connected to THAT moment my heart fills with joy. Beautiful. Wishing you a very Happy New Year Kelly!

You are so awesome at living–BEING in the moment and appreciating it fully. Love.

Then that is the best place to be.
So glad I stopped by this evening. xo

very cool. i sort of felt the same this morning, big rainstorm on the mountain last night, kept me awake…sound of it on the tin roof. sometimes i know i don’t want to be anywhere else, other times my mind just can’t help wandering 🙂

Perfect moment. A moment that most of us would barrel through and not even take a second to appreciate. But not you, you are an inspiration.

I love the starkness in winter. Your photo reminds me of Rebecca’s, here: http://beautifulperfectmess.blogspot.com/2010/12/project-365-298308.html

So simple, but so incredibly wonderful and profound. I love the way you see the world, and as someone who struggles with winter, I am struck deeply with awe and wonder at this.
